Post n°4.
My favorite food is humitas.
To cook them it is necessary:
-Corn.
-Basil
-Onions
-Garlic
-Pepper
-Salt
-Chili color
Preparation:
-Peel the corn and reserve the large leaves.
-Grind the corn kernels together with the basil.
-Cut the onion and garlic into cubes, in a frying pan, add oil and sauté the onion, cook until the onion is transparent, add salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
-Mix the ground corn with the onion.
-Add a few scoop of the mixture to the corn husks and fold into a packet.
-Tie with a thread.
-Cook in boiling water for 30 minutes.
-Strain and eat.
I like corn in all its forms, but in humita is the best.
I consider it a healthy, vegetarian, nutritious and ancestral food.
